We are a group of dedicated catch and release carp anglers and National Parks Service Volunteers. Through Blackstone Carp events, workshops, derbies and our website we work with local groups and facilities to promote the sport of carp fishing. We strive to teach not only effective baiting and rigging techniques but also impart the importance of proper care , handling and release practices. Many workshops also focus on the history and ecology of carp and the many misconceptions about them.
The website was developed to enhance our events through-out the year by offering both written and video tutorials, news and articles pertaining to carp fishing and offer a place to showcase our video blogs. We firmly believe that by sharing our obsession, and trust us it is an obsession, we can help support and foster a future for carp and carp angling. That is our mission.
