Have been fishing all my life... started in the Galveston's West Bay, deep sea stuff also. My opinion is that salt water is much more fun but the fresh water fishing in NM is so beautiful. And were else can you find friends like the ledendary guide Taylor Streit owner of Taos Fly Shop? Look up the fishing at his website and go to "Legends"... you'll love it!

Interests
Primarily fish salt water in the Gulf for Speckled Trout, Flounder, Reds;
prefer deeper water fishing for Red Snapper... the meat is firmer & flaky!
Secondly: I fly fish New Mexican waters for Rainbow & Browns... Like all of the rivers around Taos, with focus on Brown in Rio Grand.
